Thanks for visiting my blog. I practice something called stream of consciousness writing. Most of the stories on here (almost all) are written in one sitting with very little editing save for grammar and spelling. The exercise is meant to unlock parts of the subconscious less easily accessed, and give way to more honest storytelling. A Short Conversation is a collection of stories, thoughts, and general musing about life and the beauty and suffering within the mundanities of life. I like to write like I’m slamming a door; loudly, and with purpose.

Thanks for visiting my blog and liking what I wrote. I’ve never heard of “stream of consciousness writing” until I read your “about me” page. That you for that. It’s exactly how I write. What you see is how it is written the first time, every time. Yes, I too correct spelling when I catch it, but otherwise, it’s in it’s most raw form. I’m enjoying your blog as a result of your like.
Thank you for the view of my post Lusty Busty. It gave me an opportunity to view your beautiful work! I am now following and looking forward to reading more of your glorious words!
Hi Miri! I just went through few of your poems and stories. I must say that you are different! You are terrific! You have a way with words. I admire you writing. Keep penning down :-)

Hi there … love your site and yes I too at times write all in one sitting, I might try your approach and just leave the raw unedited version … as I write in my “about me” section:
I find poetry very personal and cathartic (the reading and the writing thereof); writing poems allows me to express multiple emotions and viewpoints, in concise and at times rapid manner. The writing is painful, at times a slow process, and then again, fast and furious, words flying out across my notebook or keyboard, like machine gun bullets.
Take care and continue writing :)
Regards Mike
Thanks for stopping by Mike :)
Thanks for the like. It really means a lot to me. I believe you are very spontaneous and quick. It feels nice to meet you.
I’d love to discuss some aspects of writing with you and I’d rather not clutter up your page in order to do so. My e-mail is grumpygorman@gmail.com. Feel free to contact me if you’re comfortable with it, no pressure though. Cheers. :)

Hi Miri, I came across your blog while checking people’s posts on the “Maybe” prompt. Obviously, yours stood out, as did the rest of what I’ve read from you. So much in fact, I took your theme after some consideration (sorry, I guess?). Your stuff is great, powerful, inspiring, blah blah, you’ve heard it all by now :)
All of this is to say, great work. Look forward to future posts.
thanks so much brandon, so glad you enjoyed it :) As for the theme, I think it may be the most popular one on wordpress as a whole, so an original I am not, good luck with your blog!
Thanks for stumbling across my blog :) I like your setup of splitting your works based on word count. I might want to do something similar on my own blog, if that’s alright. Happy blogging ^.^
Thanks! And sure go ahead, I found it easiest this way
Hi! Thanks for liking my blog, “Write Light.” After reading all the comments, I will now go to your fiction pages. I hope you are well. You liked my site some time back. I’m more aware of how to work WordPress than I used to be and I intend to take the site up on some of their resources to learn more. I just need to prioritize that in my mind and in my planner. God bless!
Hi Miri…its been a while. Hope you are doing well.
I have come up with my first book which is a collection of short stories from my blog. Here, I am looking forward to your continued support by helping me spread the word about my book http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HD3O0UW will be available at $0.99 from 29 July, 2016.
Thanks tons!
Thanks for following my blog!

Thanks for your interest in my blog. I look forward to following yours!
Are there any rules to becoming a guest blogger on your site?
Hey! Just send me something you want to post through email and we go from there :)
Love your writing style :)
Thanks for the like; I would be flattered if you reblogged any of the poems or 100-word stories from https://candyrayblog.wordpress.com/
Just reading some of yours- I love ‘Six Chances.’
I take creative writing classes like you do and I think they are a great reality check when you have a way up in the clouds reason for writing like I do. Also you meet the most ordinary-looking people with so much natural talent.
Thank you, that’s so true
I love your blog! I hope you will check mine out sometime.

Hi there! I found your blog interesting and I’ve got something to ask you….
I’m gathering (inviting) a bunch of very talented but not so famous bloggers to share articles to TOAC and create something better than the Huffington Post or any other news blog.
I want you to be a part of it. Please visit our site https://yourthoughtmatters.wordpress.com/recruitments/ if this interests you.
Hi there,
I really love your blog, there’s just so much great content.
I was wondering if you would like to get involved with a poetry thing I’m running to celebrate GloPoWriMo [Global Poetry Writing Month].
From Monday the 11th April there will be a guest post by a poet blogger each day for the rest of the month. The posts will discuss how they got into writing poetry, why they love it and who inspires them. I’ve got three guest posters signed up and I’m hoping to find some more.
Would you be interested in joining in?
Hey carol, sure I’d love to :) will this be on your blog?
Your stories are incredible. Really, really talented. Hats off to you, and a big congrats for following your skills and allowing them to breathe! I look forward to more of your work. :)
Thank you :)
I love the guy who said he likes your writing because it reminds him of his. He just basically came on your blog to compliment himself.
I on the other hand think your writing is unique, and wonderful. So there.
Hahaha, I’ll take whatever compliments anyone wants to give me, so thank you. And thanks for stopping by my page :)
You’re welcome!
I admire your writing style. Your approach reminds me much of my own. It is writing in its most natural form; slamming the door with great purpose, and for everyone to hear.
Thanks Aaron :)

Thank you for the likes on my poetry. I hope to fellowship with you through writing in the future. I will keeping up with your work. God bless you.
Hey, thanks for writing such good stuff. I nominated you for the Liebster award. Don’t know if it means much, but figured you should get it if it does. You can find it in my post here:
https://guidetoheartbreak.wordpress.com/2016/01/08/liebster-award/
Thank you! I’ve heard of this but I must admit I’m not entirely sure how it works
It’s mostly a way to get your work out to more people. Apparently the blogging community uses it as a tool to promote upcoming writers that have truly exceptional pieces. To accept, all you have to do is write a post that follows the structure I outline in my post. 1) Thank me (lol), 2) Respond to my questions, 3) Nominate 11 other bloggers, 4) Ask those bloggers 11 of your own questions.
Essentially it’s chainmail-type blog post. Feel free to make your own choice whether to just move on or pay it forward – no hard feelings either way! Just thought you deserved it. :)
I prefer to keep my blog fiction writing only, but thank you so much for the nomination :)
Hi-Thanks for liking my post. I’ll be checking back here to see what else you’re writing.
Hey, thanks for dropping by my story. I’ll check yours too.
You’re writing is very interesting (yes, I know.. ambiguous)… you’ve got an intriguing headspace..
thank you :)
