She had a first class ticket
She found it in the gutter
She heard there was a place on earth
Was unlike any other
She had old conversations
She wrote them in a book
From time to time she’d rewind
The old words that she spoke
She hadΒ one place she wanted to be
Gave up on love at age twenty three
A big white sign she got off the train
Nobody saw her ever again

Beautifully done!
thank you π
There are so many ways to “travel” through that piece of writing. Smartly put. I like great endings, and that’s a great ending.
Thank you sha’tara, and thanks for always leaving such great comments I really enjoy reading them π
beautiful??
Thanks so much!
Wonderful!
Thank you π
Your words are so beautiful.
thank you π
Well done and makes me want to know more of the story.
Great article but it didn’t have evenrthiyg-I didn’t find the kitchen sink!
Love the open ended ending
thank you π
Awesome! Great job!!!
Beautiful. Reading it aloud creates a singsong everyone wants to hear.
thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it π
I don’t know why, perhaps it’s my sense of drama, but I find the ending chilling in its uncertainty. I read too many James Elroy novels, I think. But the 50 word format allows you to do that and you’ve done it so well in ‘She Found it In’.
thanks so much Dermott, glad you enjoyed it π
I’ve seen her!
