She had wings
big old things,
Clunky
A nuisance
They hung around her
They came out of nowhere
And told her she could be something
They brushed against her shoulders and made themselves free loaders
They didn’t tell her what to do
They just stayed there
These wings
these giant big old things
and eventually decided they had used her.
